The Lockport Township Democratic Organization is a family oriented organization, working for the community for over 60 years. We remain a strong, active and vibrant organization. The results of having a Democratic Township over the years has helped to maintain safe communities, better roads, exemplary schools, strong economic development, and support for our seniors and youth.

- Lockport Township Democratic Organization has been in existence since approximately 1954
- Lockport Township government has been wholly or predominantly Democratic since that time
- We meet several times a year to keep the Democratic party strong in Lockport Township; sign up at the Contact Us page to receive meeting notifications
- Precinct Committeepersons can be appointed to vacant positions between elections; the next election for these positions is in 2026
Precinct List
A Precinct Captain is an official in the American political party system. The office establishes a direct link between a political party and the voters in a local election district. It is a grassroots position that is vital to the American form of government.
Responsibilities of the post include facilitating voter registration and absentee ballot access; leading get out the vote outreach efforts; distributing campaign and party literature; promoting the party; addressing voter concerns; and just getting out and meeting people in a friendly manner. Precinct Captains are also eligible to participate in fundraising events.
