Mary Ann Williamson is the current Lockport Township Assessor. Mary Ann came to work in the Assessor’s office in 2004. Mary Ann earned her Certified Illinois Assessment Official credentials in 2007 and has over 200 continuing education hours. In 2013 Mary Ann became the Chief Deputy Assessor. As a Deputy Assessor; Mary Ann worked diligently to help senior citizens with their exemption paperwork.

Mary Ann has been a member of the Will County Assessor’s Association for the past ten years. She is also a current member of the International Association of Assessing Officers. Before coming to work at the Assessor’s office Mary Ann has a long record of public service; serving on the Chaney Monge Board of Education as well as the Chaney Monge PTO and Parent Athletic Association.

Having grown up in the suburbs south of Chicago; Mary Ann moved to Lockport Township in 1978 after getting married. With her husband John they raised their three children in the old Chaney neighborhood in Crest Hill where she still lives today. Mary Ann’s ten grandchildren, passion for gardening and reading are what keep her busy in her spare time. Mary Ann attends Southfield Church in Channahon where she volunteers her time caring for children in the nursery.
